Fun fact about Greater Sudbury, Ontario
Sudbury was home to the tallest chimney in Canada and the Western Hemisphere. Built in 1972, the Inco Superstack was 381 metres (1,250 ft). It was thought the tall chimney would help spread sulphuric acid through the air, over a wider area, to help reduce the acidity of local precipitation.
